Leipzig: Insel Verlag, 1916. 6 (six/sechs) volumes complete. volumes 4, 5, 6 are in cardboard slipcases stamped, halbpergament (half vellum). half vellum backing marbled paper covered boards. the vellum is gilt lettered and decorated extensively. all edges are red. each volume has a bound-in place-keeping ribbon. vol. 2 has some mottled darkening to the spine, vol. 1 has very little, the rest, none. vol. 1 has a crease to back cover at corner. vol. 1 has an ink gift inscription to the second free endpaper. it consists of a quote from heine and a few added words. all in german and dated 1931. there are no other markings or writing. there is no foxing. all bindings are sound. the bindings were done by e.r. weiss. each volume except 6 has a foreword by the author with progressive dates - 1916-1923. these are the only dates anywhere. each is from the second edition enlarged.; the 6 paginations are, in order - 397pp., 374pp., 335pp., 285pp., 317pp., 343pp.; there are small decorative elements drawn by rahel ramberg throughout the set.. Second Edition, Revised. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus/No Jacket, as Issued. Illus. by Rahel Ramberg. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Multi-Volume Set.
