'The Bostonians' is a novel that centres on a trio of characters; Basil Ransom, a political conservative, Olive Chancellor, a Boston feminist, and Verena Tarrant, a protegee of Olive's in the feminist movement. This novel was first published as a serial from 1885-1886 in 'The Century Magazine'. Written by Henry James, a nineteenth century American novelist.
