Beautiful monograph of Brancusi's work and attachment to New York, from his first participation in the 1913 Armory Show exhibition to the 2013 exhibition "Brancusi in New York: 1913-2013 at the Paul Kasmin Gallery. While the 1913 Armory Show played a major role in launching the sculptor's career, the 2013 exhibition is a fitting memorial to Brancusi's work and his connectedness to America and New York. profusely illustrated with spectacular color and b/w white reproductions of Brancusi's sculptures and personal photographs. Includes a color reproduction of Alexander Calder's oil on canvas "Firemen's Dinner for Brancusi," 1926. Contains timeline Brancusi in New York, bibliography and credits at rear. Minor wear along edges of binding. Else in fine condition.
