New York: Hurd and Houghton, 1866. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 453pp. Brown cloth, gilt lettering to spine. From the personal library of Justin Winsor. Inscription on front endpaper reads "Justin Winsor, Esq. With the Editor's kind regards. May 19,1866." An interesting association copy. Winsor was a historian and librarian, and was the founder of the American Library Association, and became its first president. Front board detached but present, spine lacking 2 inch piece from top, water staining to rear board and to margins of text, contents age-toned. Personal stamp of Justin Winsor, Cambridge, Mass. on title page.
