Concentrating on facts taken from government documents and parliamentary papers, much published for the first time, the author describes the establishment of New South Wales as a penal colony. 270 pages with 7 black and white illustrations, numerous tables and appendices, and reference notes. Book in very good condition ex library with stamp and remnants of borrowing sleave on last page, minor marks on about five pages and some reader wear. Dust jacket in very good condition in clear wrapper with stickers on spine and back.
