London: Trubner and Co, 1880. Half Leather. Good. Red half leather with marbled paper covered boards. 250 pp. A few black and white illustrations throughout. A natural history of several species of animals that had existed in Great Britain/Ireland, looking at written records and fossil evidence. This includes chapters on the bear, beaver, wolf, reindeer, wild boar and wild white cattle. GOOD condition. Spine rather darkened, with uneven darkening to the leather on the covers. Minor scuffing, soiling and edgewear. Decorative bookplate present. Scattered foxing in the interior.
