London: The Connoisseur Publishing Company, 1909. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Hardcover in original illustrated red-stamped boards with paste-down picture in cameo. No dust jacket. First printing of first edition. Book is crisp and clean, with tight binding and sharp corners. Top of spine is damaged and repaired. interior pages in Fine, unmarked and unblemished condition. Binding is tight but hinge is starting. Full-page color and black-and-white plates throughout. Includes a list of "military prints and books with plates of military interest," by W.G. Menzies and many pages of advertisements for furniture, silverware, and room paneling, in addition to prints and books. Laid in is a letter pertaining to one of the plates from A.L. Kipling, honorary editor of the book, writing from the Society for Army Historical Research. 4to.
