First British Commonwealth edition;" 224 p., unmarked anywhere but with small stains at upper edges of pp. 62-65 and a few small spots on the fore-edge of the closed book; portraits and other ill.; binding firm; boards are unfaded but have some rubbing along lower spine, despite valor of a d.j. that has certainly protected it from worse. The d.j. not only is rubbed, with closed tear near lower spine, but apparent damp has caused most of the text on the inner panels to have been effaced or torn away.
