New York: The Vanguard Press, (1934). First edition. INSCRIBED but we don't not know to whom. Long, hand written, filling pastedown and front end paper, also signed on next blank. "Here are some of my first stories, written between 1927 and 1934." then discussion about the titles of the stories including "H. L. Mencken bought "Helen, I love you." Hard to read in some places. Very good copy in edgeworn dust jacket with a chip at the top of the spine, some age darkening, and tape repair/reinforcement on verso.
