First thus, including a few poems from other collections and newspapers, adding to the 1908 edition.Tipped-in frontispiece from photograph by Frances MacCulloch of the view of San Francisco ruins taken from Russian Hill, with tissue guard. Cloth-backed decorated boards. 5 1/2" x 8". Printed by Taylor, Nash & Taylor, San Francisco. A collection of poems, including some related to the San Francisco earthquake and fire of 1906. Poet Truesdell (1839-1912) was a widely published California poet, including appearances in The Overland Monthly. She was the author of A California Pilgrimage. Bookplate of A. Leonard, Jr. M.D. on front pastedown; Dr. Leonard's autographed snippet laid in. Slightly soiled and rubbed, but Near Fine, now with a custom clear mylar protective jacket.
