Alfred A. Knopf, 1952. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. 1952. No Edition Stated. 246 pages. Illustrated jacket over red cloth with gilt titles to spine. Pages have deckled edges. Book Club Edition stated on jacket flap. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. A few edge tears and creases, as expected with this paper. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book. Endpapers have strips of tanning caused by jacket. Previous owner's sticker to front pastedown with one small liquid stain. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Possible extremely faint liquid staining to front. Gilt is bright. Unclipped jacket is noticeably water stained. Moderate edgewear with chips, tears and creasing. Jacket is noticeably rubbed and marked overall. A few light scratches.
