Toronto, ON, Canada: William Briggs, 1913. First Canadian Edition . Cloth. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. 366pp. Frontis w tissue guard paper intact. Red cloth w gold lettering on cover and spine. Corners bumped and worn. Wear to head and tail. Moderate soiling to cloth commensurate w age and handling. Light splatter stain on back board cloth. Duodecimo. Buschlen, J. P. (John Preston), 1888-1966 followed this novel with a collection of short stories on the same theme entitled, Behind the Wicket: Short Stories Relating to Life in the Canadian Banks (1914). He also wrote a number of works under the name Jack Preston.
