About This Item
Garden City Publishing New York, 1934 Decorative Cloth. Fine, in Fine jacket and very rare as such. First printing of the celebrated De Luxe Edition. Superb Rockwell Kent two colour illustrations, some of his very best work. Taking age and collectability into consideration this is Fine. Handsome indented blind title on cover, with inset plate by Kent on a gold inlay. Paper label on spine is perfect, which is rare. This is often in a particularly sorry state, or missing altogether, but this one is pristine and complete. This is an important example of the artist's work, which he said was a delight to work on. There are some people out there who remove all the plates, frame them, and sell them at vast profits. They should be shot.. 1st Edition.. Hardcover. Fine/Fine.
