London: Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 1960. Authors only novel published in his lifetime, won the 1961 Hugo Award for Best Novel, the first of the novel Leibowitz series and considered one of the SF novels. CONDITION Burgundy bds with crisp silver title (unworn with tidy name inside front) 320 pages. Copy is bright and crisp. DJ has one short tear at front top near spine and slightest rubbing to ends and tips, not price clipped. Has been in a smokers house at some stage with discolouration the DJ, eps and edges.. First British. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Synopsis

A Canticle for Leibowitz is a post-apocalyptic science fiction novel by American writer Walter M. Miller, Jr. , first published in 1960. Based on three short stories Miller contributed to The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction; it is the only novel published by the author during his lifetime. Considered one of the classics of science fiction, it has never been out of print and has seen over 25 reprints and editions.
