Frankfurt am Main: Ars Libri Verlag, Gotthard de Beauclair, 1962. First edition. Paperback. Near Fine. LIMITED EDITION of 200 in Arabic of which this is numbered 103 and SIGNED by both designer Gotthard de Beauclair and artist Gerhart Kraaz. Near Fine condition folio of unbound leaves, in Very Good original slipcase. The Berkeley Version of the Song of Songs has been chosen for this edition and is printed here with the premission of the Zondervan Publishing House in Grand Rapids Michigan. Monotype Bell Antiqua was used for the text, which was printed by Hans Christians, Hamburg; the lithographs were printed by Paul Robert Wilk, Frankfurt am Main, and the hand-made Butten is a production of Hahnemuhle in Dassel. The edition consists of 200 copies numbered in Arabic, each containing one additional lithograph, and 50 copies numbered in Roman, each with four additional lithographs. This is the English version.
