He was the author of the first printed book on the history and antiquities of Verona, published in 1540, with woodcuts after drawings by Giovanni Battista Caroto that are still extant After Torello completed De Orine et Amplitudine Civitatis Veronae, he pushed this volume on the history of Verona. Bound in full vellum, title on spine in brown ink. There are some light damp staining to lower corner of leaves(more so to last few leaves) lacks one front blank.

Paris: Desenne 1807. (Hardcover set) 346, 505, 469, 431pp. Very good. In full calf fine bindings which have been expertly rebacked. Marbled endpapers and edges. The covers are worn and the spines brittle with minor loss at the tops and bottoms, and a 1.5-inch piece missing from the bottom of the spine of Vol.1, also a tasteful bookplate in each volume. The first edition of the first two parts of the author's history of Spain under the Goths and the Moors. The third and fourth parts of the history were published in 1653. In Very Good Condition: fore-edge of front cover curling up; occasional light soiling; some pages browned.
