Maroon cloth over boards unmarked except for the name of a former owner dated 1891. Frank Stockton (1834-1902) was primarily an author of children's stories. The Casting Away of Mrs. Lecks and Mrs. Aleshine is a story of two friends who end up surviving a collisio0n between their ship and another after leaving the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii) and what happened after. Book is in a fine custom slipcase of woven materials over boards with a fine paper and gilt label. This is a rare and fine collectible of a very collectible author.
