An interesting work of British botanical history, illustrated with a folding plate to volume I. Two volumes. Part V and VI of the Catalogue of the Mesozoic Plants In The Department of Geology. Both of these works are in reference to Cretaceous Flora those being Part I. - Bibliography, Algae & Fungi and Part II. - Lower Greensand (Aptian) Plants of Britain. Ex-library copy, with library bookplates to the front pastedown and endpaper of each volume, and a blindstamp to the title page of each volume. Alongside bookplates of Brighton Public Library, there is an additional bookplate to the front of each pastedown. It reads 'British Museum Natural History, Presented By The Trustees of The British Museum'. Written by Marie C. Stopes, Fellow of University College London University. Illustrated with numerous in-text illustrations and a folding plate to volume I. A scarce set botanical works from the early 20th century. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally light bumped to the head and tail of the spine, and also to the extremities. Fading to each of the spines. Spotting to the front and rear boards of volume I, with the occasional handling mark. Bookplates to the library bookplates to the front endpapers and pastedown of each volume. Very Good
