Original printed wraps (softcover) tie bound in the Japanese manner, housed in floral decorative cloth wrap-around case (chitsu) with paste on title label and two clasps, (9.25 x 6.5 inches). First Edition. 167 pages with Index, followed by Japanese language colophon; illustrated with 11 plates including frontispiece, 9 plates with captions, and one fold-out plan of the Temples at Koya-san, all plates are collotype printed. Text in English, preface by Mr. Hamilton Bell. Produced by the Japanese government as an aid for foreign tourists. A catalogue of all the objects designated by the Japanese government as National Treasures, listed by the temple in which they are housed with artist attributions when available. An exceptionally clean copy housed in like case.. First Edition. Wraps. Near Fine/Near Fine. Octavo.
