About This Item

Philadelphia: The Rosenbach Company, 1916. First Edition. Original wraps. Good Plus/4-mil clear mylar envelope. 129 pp. Number 18. Original tan wrappers. 6 3/4" x 10 3/4". 636 descriptions of items offered by Dr. A. S. W. Rosenbach. Many amazing treasures of literature at period prices. As explained in a first note, many of the books in this catalogue came from the collection of Harry B. Smith, described in Mr. Smith's book, "A Sentimental Library". Rosenbach was loaned $79,000 by Bill Ellis (a cousin of Harry B. Widener) to buy the Smith collection in 1915. Covers are very fragile, chipped and barely attached. The interior pages are somewhat rubbed from handling, but Very Good Plus or better. The catalogue is now in a 4mil clear mylar archival protective envelope. ALWAYS FREE SHIPPING of our books in boxes, via media mail, to any United States address.
