About This Item

New York: Oxford University Press, 1976. Very good (light speckling of foxing on top edges and a bit toward the top of the covers, interior clean) in very good dust jacket (light spotting on inside of jacket, edgewear at bottom of spine). Startling black-and-white and color pictures along with an unusual way of telling the story of this sparse expedition in the Himalayas: the six main members each contributed along with three of the wives. 118 pages. Changabang is an awesome, previously avoided, peak near Nanda Devi and the Tibetan border. Not high by Himalayan standards but apparently unclimbable. (See the scan of the front cover!) Neate 95. 1st American edition. Hard Cover. Illus. by Photographs.
