This copy is signed on the flyleaf by "C. H. Benedict, Recorder 1902-3." Index. Bound in the original brown, pebble-grain cloth. Gilt titles on the front cover and spine are still bright and shiny. Laid-in are two ephemera including a printed copy of the 1903 ordinance "providing for the Licensing of Inns and Taverns and Beer Saloons and regulating the sale of malt, brewed, vinous and spirituous or other intoxicating liquors." Full title: "The Charter of the Town of Dover [New Jersey] and the Supplements Thereto with the By-Laws and Ordinances of the Common Council, The Board of Excise Commissioners and the Board of Health and the Titles of Ordinances Relating to Streets.".
