The first edition, first printing of this work, in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper.Flat signed to the front free endpaper, with a drawing of a star, followed by '-or Carol - three Christmas carols! Alistair, Xmas in June /98'. This is a charming volume of Christmas tales - illustrated in blue and black ink by Marc Simont - is the work of journalist, television personality and radio broadcaster Alistair Cooke, who was best known in the US as the host of PBS Masterpiece Theatre from 1971 to 1992. In the publisher's original paper covered boards, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, exceptionally bright. Bumping to back strip head and tail. Flat signed to front free endpaper. Chipping to dust wrapper back strip head and tail, with small loss to head of rear wrap. Fading to perimeters of rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Very Good Indeed
