A first edition of this account of Winston Churchill by his contemporaries, including President Eisenhower, Lord Altrincham and George Bernard Shaw. Featuring numerous photographic plates. In a cloth binding, with an unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Minor shelfwear to the boards. The dustwrapper has chipping, small closed tears, and slight loss, with surface wear. Ink signature dated 1955 to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
