New York: American Book Company, 1908. Gray cloth with black titles and decoration on covers and spine. 91 toned pages followed by several pages of publishers other publications. No evidence that the book is ex-library (we actually know the provenance) but it does have a rough glue area inside back cover. Rear end page (blank) also has rough area and large tear. We can guess that a library pocket may have been removed. Contents include: The City of Boston: Its Past; How It Grew by Florence Converse; How Boston Is Governed by Myron E. Pierce; Public Education by Charles M. Lamprey; Our City Streets by Meyer Bloomfield; How City Money Is Raised and Spent by Harvey S. Chase; The Public Parks, Playgrounds, Baths and Gymnasiums by Sylvester Baxter, much more. We note words underlined in pencil on page 7 and some stray pencil marks on page 58; a half inch tear in the margin of page 15 and some fingermarks on light soil on fep; bumped back corners. Title page has seal of the City of Boston. Color illustration of American flag opposite foreward. The volume was produced for the Public Evening and Vocational schools in Boston, Massachusetts.
