Chicago: The University of Chicago Press. Very Good. [c.1906-1910]. Stapled wraps. A catalogue of the 240 or so extant manuscripts of Aristophanes, the ancient Greek writer of comedy drama. The locations of the various institutions who possess these manuscripts is detailed in these reprints from "Classical Philology, Volume I." Volume bears the original publication date of 1906, but could have been published c.1906-1910. --- In dark brown wraps with simple titling in black, measures 7 in. wide x 9.75 in. tall. The two reprints are bound one inside the other. --- With prior owner's inked notation to first page, else a sound, well-preserved copy.; Tall Octavo - 9 to 10 in. tall; 8, 255-278, 9-20 pages .
