The book is in Very Good- condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some rubbing, bumping and wear. The spine joints are noticeably rubbed. The covers have some toning and ground-in dirt. The text pages are generally clean and bright. There is an inked previous owner's name and address on the front pastedown page. The rear endpaper has a previous owner's inked notations for artillery practice. "In a military context, the term "materiel" refers either to the specific needs (excluding manpower) of a force to complete a specific mission, or the general sense of the needs (excluding manpower) of a functioning army. Materiel management consists of continuing actions relating to planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling, and evaluating the application of resources to ensure the effective and economical support of military forces. It includes provisioning, cataloging, requirements determination, acquisition, distribution, maintenance, and disposal.
