Hampton Brown, 2005. Soft cover. Good. Larger softcover, glossy black with illustration of dog tags on front wrapper, challenge coins illustrated on back, 233 pages, creased at top of p. 33. Green ink last name at top of title page. Four-line stamp of high school and a light gray stain on reverse of final end paper. Slight surface wear to long spine right edge, very slight wear to bottom back tip. Good.

Synopsis

After being taught in a boarding school run by whites that Navajo is a useless language, Ned Begay and other Navajo men are recruited by the Marines to become Code Talkers, sending messages during World War II in their native tongue.
