Cassell & Company, Limited, London, Paris, New York & Melbourne, 1886. Edition Unstated. Hardcover (illustrated Cloth). Good Condition. Introduction by H. M. Black coloured illustrated beige coloured cloth covered boards; with gilt coloured embossed titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. To the verso of the front and rear covers are advertisements, as is there advertisement to the rear book panel. The classic treatise on fishing from the 17th century. The book is showing age – please see photograph. Chipping and rubbing of the back strip edges with bumping of the book corners and rubbing on the panels and the other edges. Darkening of the back strip and patchy darkening to the book panels. Tanning of the text block edges with age toning of the pages along with foxing spots. Foxing to the first few and last few pages of the book. The front hinge has cracked and the underlying webbing is visible. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
