Gilt tooling to spine.3 Volumes Complete but at fault as described. 2 ex-libris plates to each volume,. The first Charles Lawrence with the coat of arms and motto; "nulls in verba" This was Hallam's best-known and most influential work. It covers the Tudor and Stuart periods and terminates with the reign of George II. It includes chapters on the constitutions of Ireland and Scotland. Spine ends worn & chipped. A little foxing to end papers &; fly leaves Vol 1 Spine split from one side of cover and front board Detached. The rest of the volume clean and in good condition. Inside font and back pages affected by some foxing. Vol 2 Rear board detached. Spine, half detached, split from left side of cover as well as split 2 inches from bottom edge. The rest of the volume clean and in good condition. Inside font and back pages affected by some foxing Vol 3 Front board Detached, Right side of Spine intact but beginning to almost split from front side of cover.
