Rowse, preface by author, bibliography, index and list of tables. Map illustrated endpapers, showing map of Cornwell in the 18th century. Light blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the back strip. A little rubbing to be book corners and rubbing and bumping to the back strip edges. Browning to the text block edges and light age toning of the internal text. Plain text dustwrapper with light blue coloured background and ochre coloured titles to the front panel and next. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners, the dustwrapper edge and lower back strip edge. There are tears to the top dustwrapper edge measuring from 0.25 " to 0.75 ". Significant sunning to the back strip and various handling marks and other marks to the dustwrapper panels. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner.
