Remainder mark to bottom edge. Illustrated wrapper is clean and without wear. Binding square and not creased. Octavo. Cosima Wagner's Diaries were first published in two volumes in German (R. Piper Verlag, 1976, 77) and in English translation by Geoffrey Skelton (Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich, 1978, 79). This abridgement first published by Pimlico, 1994 and this Yale University Press paperbound edition, 1997. This is the first Yale printing.
