Both volumes have slight lean to spine, chipping at crown and heel with some loss at crown, covers soiled and unevenly faded, corners of boards bumped, hinges tender or starting, previous owner name on front free endpaper, otherwise unmarked; Vol. I has more notable loss at crown and about 2" of backstrip missing at heel, front hinge cracked. 4th ed.
