About This Item
Sought-after, hardback first edition of Plath's transitional poems, written between the publication of The Colossus and the posthumous Ariel. Very tight binding and bright pages, unmarked except for the owner's name on the first page. Book itself is in Fine condition. Dust jacket is very good but has some edge wear and a small tear on the back page at the top.
Synopsis
"A representative selection of verse by the Pulitzer Prize-winning writer who left in the wake of her personal tragedy a legacy of poems that combine terrifying intensity and dazzling artistry. With their brutally frank self-exposure and emotional immediacy, Plath's poems... have had an enduring influence on contemporary poetry."
