Richard Robinson, 1970. Unknown. Near Fine/No Jacket. 4to - 9¾" - 12" Tall (oblong). Signed by Charles Bukowski at lower left (thiss is an actual and authentic Charles Bukowski autograph, not part of the image). Scarce original black-and-white photograph of Charles Bukowski, part of the classic series by Richard Robinson dating from the early 1970s. This particular view, landscape in format, shows Bukowski in a close-up head-and-shoulders view, in partial profile, looking thoughtfully into the distance, a rundown Skid Row-esque street scene behind him. This great portrait is one of the scarcer images from Robinson's series. Several of the images from this photo shoot were for a number of years distributed by Bukowski's publisher Black Sparrow Press to media outlets for use in news coverage (and appeared with joint credits in the LA Times, Baltimore Sun, etc.). 10 x 8 inches, framed. The image is fine; the frame has some cosmetic dings.Original B/w Photo By Richard Robinson.

New York: Lyle Stuart, 1965. First edition. Fine, bright copy with the original printed wraparound band (partly torn) and just the slightest of rubbing to the extremities.. 4to, 101pp; original wrappers. One of a stated 3100 copies in the edition, signed and dated by Bukowski at the colophon. As with all Loujon Press productions, the book is marked by a whimsical style using multi-colored papers of varying stocks and even sizes. Loujon proprietors Jon and Louise "Gypsy Lou" Webb were important early supporters of Bukowski, especially in their short-lived periodical "The Outsider". This book, along with their earlier Bukowski title, It Catches My Heart in its Hands, helped put him on the map early in his career and bring him to the attention of a literary audience that has continued to grow. An exceptionally fresh copy.

Trumansburg, NY: Out of Step Press. Fine with no dust jacket. 2016. Numbered Edition; First Printing. Pamphlet. The author's non-linear poem about the billeting of soldiers in civilian homes in wartime. Copy 89 of a limited edition of 250. Folded into the form of a letter, the work was letterpress printed in wraps of handmade "combat paper" made from military uniforms. The author says: "Some time ago-maybe a year, maybe two?
