Scarce. 'In his voyage to the Bering Sea, Niedeck split his time between Kamchatka and Alaska. Landing at Petropavlovsk on the Kamchatkan coast, his party proceeded inward, bagging bear along the shores of Betchevinskaya Bay. He also collected Ovis nivicola in the surrounding hill country, walrus and sea lion before turning his attention to Alaska' (Czech).
