Akron, Ohio: Saalfield Publishing Company, 1941. First Thus . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Book #4 in the 15-book WWII adventure series for boys featuring aviator Dave Dawson. Orig. published in 1941 by Crown, this is a contemporaneous reprint from Saalfied, not a modern reprint. Hardcover with deep blue cloth over boards stamped with a black image of Dave & his plan to front/lettering to spine is in Good condition: very clean, binding strong & straight. Old gift inscription to ffep; NO other writing/underlining/highlighting; not ex-lib. Pages heavily tanned, commensurate with poor quality wartime paper. Flaws: front hinge cracked, rear one starting.
