Green cloth with designs stamped in black and gilt on front boards and spine. 169 pp + xiv pp illustrated publishers catalogue at rear. Many engravings by various artists. Floral patterned endpapers. Gift inscription by the author on the front flyleaf using her legal name, rather than her pseudonym, and dated Christmas, 1888. A compilation of the authors poems for children, many of which were culled from the pages of such Victorian childrens magazines as St. Nicholas, Harpers Young People, The Youths Companion, and Wide Awake. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
