Cloth lightly marked and foxed, and a little sunned about the spine; top edge, endpapers and adjacent leaves a little foxed and tanned; a very good copy with the unclipped dustwrapper a little foxed, rubbed, chipped and torn. Loosely inserted is the publisher's 'Book for review' slip with the inkstamped publication date of 20 July 1951.
