About This Item

London: Collins Crime Club, 1942. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher's orange cloth with black spine lettering. Loosely inserted is a typed letter signed dated 29th August 1960 from the Author addressed to a Miss R Hellman who it appears was compiling a book of recipes regarding a recipe for steak en casserole together with the typed recipe signed. Scarce with these attributes . Very slight pushing at the head and tail of the spine otherwise a near fine copy in a fine D/W with minuscule fraying at the base of the spine. A lovely collector's-condition copy in the Stead-designed D/W. A much nicer copy than normally seen. Scans invited.
