A signed first edition in a deluxe Franklin Library issuance of this novel by Allen Drury, which is centered around the United States Supreme Court. With a two-page illustration by Malcolm Liepke, and with a special introductory note by the author; signed by Allen Drury on otherwise blank front endpaper. Issued as part of the publisher's Signed First Edition Society series. One of an unspecified number in this limited edition. --- Bound in rich full green bonded leather covers with four raised bands on spine. Spine titling, elaborate decorations to covers and spine, and textblock edges all in bright gilt. Interior leaves printed on high-quality papers. With colorful faux marbled endpapers, and sewn-in green satin ribbon bookmark. Volume lacks a dust jacket (as issued). --- An excellent copy, but with slight scratching to textblock fore- and lower edges.; Tall Octavo - 9 to 10 in. tall; (18), 486 pages .
