In the original German.A thorough study into the history of German literature.Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, three colour folding plates, twelve monochrome folding plates, eight colour plates, and seven monochrome plates, as well as many in-text illustrations.With charming embellishments to the spine and gilt detail to the front cover.Belonged to Alice Goldschmidt. In a full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with some chipping to the head of the spine resulting in a touch of loss. Ownership inscription to the front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are occasionally a touch age-toned, but otherwise clean. Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
