About This Item

1630 Dictys of Crete Trojan War Roman Mythology + Aurelius Victor History Rome

Dictys of Crete was the supposed author of a diary or journal of the events of the Trojan War. 'De Bello Trojano' was written in six distinct fictional parts much of which was repeated from Homer's 'Iliad'.

This miniature tome includes a separate work by Aurelius Victor, a 4th-century Roman historian. His book 'Historia Romana' comprises accounts of the origins and establishment of Rome, mythology, and reigns of notable emperors such as Augustus Caesar and Theodosius.
