About This Item
105 pages. Royal octavo (9 1/4" x 6 3/4") bound in original wrappers. First edition limited to 1000 copies of which this is number 749.
This work continues the work of two previous works and has served to make some adjustments on the geographical distribution and organization of religious orders in the sixteenth century. In it, an attempt to study the ecclesiastical division of New Spain and the difficulties encountered by the religious to the large indigenous population, is made; also thoughts to substantiate the relationship between the Western world and the Indian. The province of Chalco played a very important role because of its geographical position. To understand it, not as an essential determinant, but as an element that allows a geographic and human joint affecting indigenous occupations, this must be taken into account.
Condition:
Front corner creased, some light soiling to cover, edge wear else a very good copy.
