Lacks title page and front end-paper and corner of final leaf affecting parts of 8 lines, another leaf is torn but complete, lacks part of top inch of spine and top fore-edge corners, otherwise a sound attractive copy. ; 24mo 6" tall; Contemporary blind ruled leather, x, 215p. **Evans #4905. Provenance:on leaf a2 "Brown 1742," on rear paste-down beneath two hebrew words "Caleb Cushing... from...friend John Davenport." The first illegible word might be Stamford, the word preceeding John Davenport is illegable. This John Davenport appears to be the grandson of Puritan Divine John Davenport (1637-1672) who arrived in Boston in 1637. .
