[Founded 1863, Dalton, MA]. Original Folio stored in thirds with one-flap summary. Signed by Hiram P. Harriman, James Gifford, Ruben W. Swift, Joseph Whitcomb and James Engles. 26x40(f20)cm. pp. [4]. Very Good. Two foxed fore-edge chips at top storage folds, light stains. Appointing Ruben W. Swift, Joseph Whitcomb and James Engles to appraise, on oath, the estate and effects of Polly G. Lecomt late of Provincetown in said County of Barnstable, (blank)deceased, which may be in said Commonwealth. When you have performed that service, you will deliver this order, and your doings in pursuance thereof to Sophronia(?) A. Whelden, Administratrix. Schedule of Personal Estate (pp. 3): Inventory of 18 items appraised at $16.64 (furniture, glassware, bedding), my favorite "One What Not, $1.00". The Lecomt family entered this country via Aspinwall, Panama, not listed in Devoy (1890). The appraisers are long standing families of Provincetown. James Gifford, Provincetown served a 3-year term as commissioner in 1857. Hiram Putnam Harriman b.1846, Judge of Barnstable Probate of Wills, appointed June 14, 1882..
