Grant Richards, 1903. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. James Affleck Shepherd. Thick card boards with cloth spine, boards are very discoloured and rubbed along edges. Spine is shaky and webbing is showing in places, half title page is loose. Grubby marks to pages in places mainly to margins. Tear to top inner edge to p.15. Overall this is a well used book. The story is illustrated on every page in colour by drawings by the author and the tale relates the story of a father and son taking their donkey to market and the mishaps they encounter. A4 landscape format.
