London: Methuen, 1927. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo. Orig. purple cloth with Methuen imprint, but title-page is a cancel, giving "R.V. Coleman, New York." U.S. editions issued in different binding, xiv, 227. Illustrated. Some newspaper clipping laid-on rear endpaper, and bookplate on front pastedown. Cloth faded with bruising on spine ends but o/w very good in d/w. Jacket faintly stained and soiled, with some slight chipping. "An illuminating introduction to the study of the momentous period that witnessed the contact of the pre-Keltic and Keltic races of North-western Europe." Scarce in d/w.
