Complete 2 volume set; Boards bound in green cloth, minimal fraying to corners, spines sunned, gilt lettering and cover motif remain bright; Pages age-toned, top gilt edges minutely tarnished in places, though bright for the majority, offsetting on verson of frontipieces in each, tissue guards intact throughout, B&W plates, several letter facsimiles; Binding tight. Although Florence Emily Hardy, Thomas Hardy's second wife, has been credited as the author of this work, most of the text was actually written by Hrady himself in his old age. ; 6 x 9"; ~615 pages .
