Cover is worn, edge and shelf wear, some fraying so spine edges, but cover is entirely intact, with gilt lettering still quite visible. Interior pages are foxed, brittle, fragile, browned; front hinge loose with string binding visible; rear hinge has slight paper tear but completely intact. End paper through page 10 loose; binding between signatures at p. 50-51 open, exposing string binding. Book protected by ascetate dust wrapper. 135 pp., 253 pp. Hand penciled previous owners inscription on first free end paper ("Thos. T. Donalson, A birthday present from auntie. ") Appendix is List of Men under the Command of Col. J.W. Fannin in 1835-36. Overall, despite flaws, is an intact acceptable yet fragile copy. Guaranteed satisfaction; booksellers since 1988.
